You can also examine your cervical mucus and look at the texture as well in conjunction to taking your body basal temperature each morning. Your cervical mucus will be dry and scant early on in your cycle because that is when you are not fertile, but as your cycle progresses the mucus flow increases and becomes creamy in texture. But the closer you are to ovulation, the mucus becomes abundant and egg-white like and that is when you are most fertile.

Get to a Reasonable Weight and Incorporate Exercise

When you are ready to conceive at any age, you really need to consult the doctor so you are confirmed to be in good enough health to be pregnant. If you are overweight or underweight you will need to make significant dietary changes. If you have a BMI between 20-30, you are in a good zone weight wise to conceive. However if your BMI is between 25-30, you will need to be mindful about not gaining more than the recommended amount of weight in the pregnancy.


You also need to get moderate exercise to keep your body healthy and your system working which is walking for 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week. That is good enough.
